SHD17	Christine Varney (D)	Yes - cats and a dog - I love animals. My pets are like my children. My pets (4 cats and 1 dog) have always found me. Otis (one cat) found us on a winter's day in 1997. She was on the side of the road meowing for us to stop. Her ears were frostbit and she had cuts and boo-boos on her face and legs. We took her home and warmed her up. Her ears had to be trimmed and her fang extracted, but no matter what the costs, we knew she would be a member of our family. And still is. She watched over both of our children like a little alarm. We love her very much. Girlie cat (one other), we got her when she was 10 days old. We had to wipe her butt with a Qtip and bottle feed her. She is now 14 years old and is very much a part of our family. People need to be responsible with their pets. Proper health care and love are what pets deserve.
