SHD39 Mollie Cullom (D) To give more background:
My mother was a member of the Board of the Boulder County Humane Society. When I was seven years old, I was on the radio reading an essay I wrote in observation of "Be Kind to Animals Week."

When I lived in New York City, I had a strong relationship with my veterinarian. I would rescue stray animals (dogs and cats), she would spay and/or neuter, and I would foster parent until we found a home for numerous homeless animals.

Upon moving back to Colorado, I was featured on Animal Planet's "Emergency Vets" when I rescued a cat who had been struck by a car. I later adopted him. His name is Walter.

I am a clinical social worker - I am a member of the mental health team in the Cherry Creek School District. I ran for office in 2004 (same seat). In 2004, I was endorsed by the "Political Voice for Animals."
