Currently only employees of the state Division of Wildlife and the USDA, in the line of duty, are exempt from the voter-enacted ban on black bear hunting between those dates. After the Senate passed the amended bill, the House voted on whether to re-pass the bill as amended by the Senate in place of the original House version.
